Hi all, I am a new member with a very old Galaxy! ( N reg, 120.000 miles on clock). It has been a good family vehicle for some considerable time I might add. However, I am currently encountering a couple of problems with the vehicle and I was hoping that some of more knowledgeable folks on here could give me some much appreciated information regarding these. I know very little about mechanics so I would not be undertaking any work myself. It is just that I would like some idea of what the problems might possibly be before leaving it in to the local garage. (1) Galaxy is stalling when slowing down but restarting again easily enough. Smell of fuel when this occurs. Fuel indicator goes a bit awry at this point but eventually rectifies itself. Tried Redex etc but no change. (2) Grinding/scraping noise coming from passenger side (rear, I think) on a right turn. Thanks very much for any help in advance. Bearmind
