I need to change the Drivers side inner half of the driveshaft on a 03 plate 1.9 TDI I believe it is a dealer part but I have heard they may be cheaper from Seat or VW. Are the parts interchangeable and would anyone know the part numbers? Cheers. Steve.

Hope someone could answer this one quickly please. My brother has a problem 200 miles from home. Its a 98 Galaxy 1.9 TDI 115bhp He has a problem with the gearchange. He describes it as not being able to engage 1st and second gears. When he moves the lever to that position he gets 3rd and 4th instead. He says he has some extra slop in the lever in a sideways direction but ne excessive play in a forward backwards direction. Any one got an idea? Thanks. Steve.

Noticed today, (03 plate 1.9 TDI 130) The the Turbo hose to the left of the battery that runs through a thick wire support had worn through its protective cover. It had been chaffing on the support. Next it would have worn through the hose. Don't know if this has already been spotted by others but it may be worth checking. Steve

I have developed a rattle/light knock from under the front of the car when driving on roads with even the slightest uneven surface, appears to be more to the nearside. Small potholes seem to be worse. Any clues please. Thanks. Steve.

I picked up my 2003 1.9 TDI Ghia yesterday. While I was looking at it the sales guy insisted it was a 115ps one. I was certain though that it was a 130ps one from the red badges etc. Anyway I checked the engine code from a previous thread on here and the engine code is ASZ which unless I am mistaken is a 130. A bonus eh? ^_^:)

Would anyone have under bonnet pictures of the various bhp outputs of engines fitted to Diesel Galaxy's..Year 2000 on What I am really after is what output is the engine that shows its inlet tubes ( for want of a better description) on the top of the cam cover, Hope that makes some sense.
