Steve My understanding is that the discount promotion ended on the 31st September. Ford has allowed a 3 month window to complete orders placed before this deadline. However, as many people in the thread have pointed out Ford have a significant delay on 2.0 TDCI engines and some of these orders build dates will slip into next year. Hence the dealer suggesting pre-registration as a work around. My position with the dealer/broker is over failure to communicate terms, and that the terms are unfair. If you go into a furniture or kitchen warehouse and order delivery of a 3 piece suite or a fitted kitchen, pay a deposit and agree a price, then the manufacture delays delivery you might expect compensation not to be faced with a price penalty.
