  1. Thanks for that - I got my heater working over the weekend, used a new glow plug from ford (one with wires attached), replaced the filter/gauze for the glow plug, and cleaned the combustion chamber and replaced the gaskets. Did not bother with the fuel filter in the end, everything worked after clearing the flame out codes with vag-com - car nice a warm quickly now, many thanks to all the useful posts here.
  2. Where exactly in the car is this pump - sorry want to be sure I do it right.
  3. 76 views and no comments - surley someone has had this problem
  4. I have a 2003 1.9TDI (Auto) Galaxy that has a diesel leak in the engine compartement, it is small but noticable. The fuel is seen under the fuel filter (but the fuel filter is not leaking) it is on the water pipes below the fuel pipes. The fuel pipes do not have diesel on them but the water pipes below do. I have taken it to numerous garages but no one seems to be able to diagnose where it is coming from. I have a ford tis and have notices that there is a fuel pump next to the fuel filter, bolted onto the engine - could this be leaking? Has anyone had a similar experience - any help appreciated?
  5. I think ford use a different protocol to VW
