Thanks for all your information but so far I have had fitted............. A compressor A condensor Pressure valve and its been flushed out purged and re-gassed 3 times and it is still flashing! It is still covered as an ongoing fault under my warranty so its not costing me anything.. I have it booked back in for Monday to see if they can fix it. Im SICK! Its a Galaxy Ghia 1.9 2005 (55 reg) lynne

I have had it back to the ford dealer who have replaced the air con pump/unit under the bonnet, didnt fix the problem, they have just replaced the pressure switch... this also didnt work. I have had the system completely drained of gas and purged then re-gassed. It stopped flashing for 1 day then started again. I am at a loss now as to what is wrong with it. Surely if there was a leak it would have showed up when the system was purged.

Hi all can anybody please help me with the ongoing fault that i have on my Galaxy 2005 (55) Ghia. My Air con unit in the vehicle flashes every time i start the car up. I have a couple of friends who have the same car but their units do not flash. I have taken the car to my local ford dealer who checked it out and said that it is normal for it to flash. It never used to flash and was just wondering if anybody else has had faults with this? cheers lynne

Hi Folks Just an update.... took the car back to the garage and told them i wanted it fixed and that tying the fuel relay with a cable tie was not satisfactory. After leaving it with them for 2 more days I finially got it back.. They have replaced the fuel relay with a new one (no cable tie either) and Hey presto.... It starts. So.. so far, so good!

sorry my mistake... its a 1.9 150bhp (getting it mixed up with my other car). It is still under warranty but the garage dont seem to be able to fix it. All they keep telling me is that the fuel relay is faulty, when they change it, it works alright for a few days then it starts again. Im just a bit concerned that they are fobbing me off until the warranty runs out then ill be stuck. Thats why im trying to get as much information as i can.

Hi All New member here..... I have a 2005 (55 reg) Ford Galaxy 2.0 Ghia Tdi. The last few weeks ive been having problems with it starting, I get in the car it starts ok then after leaving it for about 15 mins i can get back in it and it just turns over and makes no effort to start. I have had it back to the garage and they keep telling me its the fuel relay thats faulty cos it has been moving in the housing..... in the end the garage have tied a cable tie round the relay and the fuse box. It seemed to work until today when i found myself stranded in the middle of town with a car that wouldnt start. This has happened to me on numerous occasions and our local Ford dealer says that they honestly dont know whats wrong with it. I dont think its the immobiliser as the light does not flash on the dashboard. I have spoken to somebody who said they had the same problem and they were also diagnosed with the fuel relay fault only theirs turned out to be a fault in the Brain. Does anybody have any ideas what this problem is?
