  1. Thanks for your comment maz, i should probably get a spade anyway, never know when i might need one. Greggers, if i sell at the right price then i wont take a hit. I get them at a good price. I'm selling early before i start to lose.
  2. Is this all really necessary. Yes you quote me correctly, it was my first mkIII and i took delivery back in December. The car i advertised was registered in June, 4 months old. I have owned 2 MKIII. Spade not neccessary!
  3. Agreed, and the Forum is a useful tool for checking the history of owners and their cars. But there is also a danger of incorrect information being quoted. A post has been quoted in this topic from a time when I owned a different Galaxy. If a prospective buyer or forum member wants to ask about the history of a car then fine. But trawling through past posts and quoting them can be miss-leading. Your posts and comments have at least created some interest in the topic. Whether or not I am able to sell the car at the right price in the current economic gloom remains to be seen.
  4. I understand that Nik, but it feels like this post should belong in an "interrogation" sub-forum, what with users trawling through any past posts i have made and commenting on them. All I
  5. I dont recall stating that i would be keeping if for a year? Do i have to keep it for a year? Yes, thought that the rear window had been broken into, but obviously relieved that the motor was diagnosed as faulty and replaced. Car HP clear, have original bill of sale showing cash sale.
  6. Turns out that it wasn't a break in attempt, but the rear quarter window vent window had seized. According to the dealership it's not the first one to do it either. Changed under warranty though so happy days.
  7. If your in the market for a New Galaxy and want to save thousands then you may be interested in my car which i will be selling in October 2008 Ford Galaxy Ghia TDCI 2.0. Hypnotic Slilver (old machine silver) Fitted with Ghia X pack which is Panorama glass roof, electric rear quarter vents and full leather. All the usual other ghia fittings aswel as integrated sunblinds. If your seriously in the Market for a MKIII Gal then I guess you have studied the brochure and know about all the features. Car has covered about 2300 miles at the moment, with only average mileage journeys planned this month. First registered 20/6/08 so will be just 4 months old at sale.
  8. Hi there, Somebody has tried to gain entry to my Galaxy through the rear quarter window. The alarm was triggered (message displayed) and now the rear quarter window will not operate. Does anybody know if there is some kind of reset for the window. It is not fully closed. Luckily no damage was done to the surrounding paintwork or window. I guess i could be looking at new motor for it though if i cant sort it. Thanks
  9. You're right, you can see straight into the boot now on a sunny day. We liked the tonneau cover because it kept some road noise down to. It seems that ford are happy to strip everything off they can to penny pinch. The rear seat belts no longer unclip from their securing points which means if you did have a tonneau cover it would snag on the belts now. Nice that they have left me with the seat belt stowage holes in the rear quarter panels though at no extra cost!
  10. Hi there, Is the tonneau cover an accessory now or standard on a Galaxy Ghia? I had an early MK III where it came supplied, and a 2008 model where it did not. Penny saving by ford I guess. Anybody out there with a 2008.5 model who can confim it theirs came with one? Thanks
  11. Thanks for that Jules, My dealer said that all Galaxys coming through now were fitted out like this. I shall return and push a little harder. Out of interest did you buy the load cover as an accessory? Mine failed to come with one this time and the dealer said I would have to buy it, where as it came supplied on my 07 model. Warren
  12. Hi there, Just took delivery of 2008 model galaxy and the 3rd row belts are no longer removeable like my older mkIII model. There are still the recess holes in the trim to put the belts when removed but they are bolted down rather that the cleat system. Can anybody out there with a 2008 model confirm if their 3rd row belts are on a cleat or bolted down? Thanks Jed
  13. I'm with you there Andy, I ordered the Ghia X pack which i feel was a good buy. The leather looks great and is easy to upkeep, and the 17" alloys look good. I see that the new model will have 17" as standard and the Ghia x plus give 18" alloys. I wish that I had ordered power folding mirrors now. I havent knocked one off yet but they are big old bits of kit and it would be nice to just fold them in at the push of a switch. I would like self levelling rear suspension as we carry around an electric wheel chair which weighs in at around 70kg. Not sure how it works. Anybody out there have it fitted?
  14. I guess you have all been driving around in your Galaxys for a few months now and are hopefully getting on well with them. Are there any Options that you wish you had ordered in hindsight. I will be changing my MKIII for another after a year and would like to know how owners are getting on with different options. Is the Ford Convers + worth the extra? Has anybody had self levelling rear suspension fitted? Is the
  15. I just drove mine normally Nick. The dealer didn't say anything about running in although there is something in the manual about taking it easy for the first 1000 miles I think. I guess as long as you dont rag it you should be ok. Are you pleased with the new motor then. Am still pretty chuffed with mine.
