  1. Thanks for the reply. Mine is similar it is only a small amount. I think I'll take the valve out and have a look. As the valve sits in the intake system I'm a bit puzzled as to where the oil is coming from.
  2. I have a 55 plate TDI 115 which for a while has had a minor oil leak from high up at the back on the engine. On closer inspection the oil is comimg from the bottom of the EGR valve and running down the back of the engine. I have taken the pipe off the right hand side of the EGR unit and it does have some oil in it as well as plenty of carbon deposits. The leak is not bad enough to drip on the floor but it does make a mess and needs sorting. Has anyone had a similar problem and can suggest a fix? Great forum by the way. I have never come accross so much useful information in one place.
  3. I used my local VW dealer as they tend to be cheaper for the VW parts which this part is. The dealer did not keep it in stock but had it in the next day. As a tempoary fix you can run it without the filter but I would not do so for long. Hope it works as if it is the vanes sticking in the turbo it can be expensive. Good luck.
  4. I've just had the same problem with mine. Checked all the hoses etc. and still had the problem. I had a look at the small filter and thought it looked OK but changed it anyway as it is cheap (
  5. This link may help it has some very useful information. http://galaxytdi.googlepages.com/turbo1 My turbo cuts the engine into limp home mode so I may have to take mine out to clean the vanes at some point after i've discounted all other posible causes. Good price on the turbo. Hope the job goes well.
  6. I have the same problem with my 55 plate TDI. Did you ever resolve the problem?
