  1. Hi Adam. Have checked with my mate and that pulley will fit pretty much all the alternators fitted to the Galaxy's. The Laser tool will not let you change the pulley without removing from vehicle as the shaft is too long and hits the plastic shroud behind the headlight. Good news for you that the Sealey tool (part number SX 400) boxed set will let you change it while fitted to vehicle.   2. Yep was holding my fingers crossed as had no reason to post as everything had been fine up until yesterday when the alternator decided to not like the pulley anymore. All fixed now so will try and cross a few more things. Cheers for all the other replies.
  3. Sorry been member for a while but never introduced myself until today. So just a quick note to say hello.
  4. Just had the same issue with the alternator workshop flash up on dashboard about 2 weeks ago on a 53 plate 1.9 TDi. Today the power steering was making that horrible noise and feeling rough at low revs. Had a friend look at it and he new about the pulley problem as he works with Audi's. Anyway i ordered the pulley from Fords as they were cheaper than VW and Audi for the same part ! The pulley part numbers if that helps anyone are:- Ford Finis F1469755 and cost was
