  1. Don t honestly know! I presume fords would not need to disconnect the battery to do the key? I haven't, as i am missing the radio code so i wont be doing it any time soon!
  2. Excuse my stupidity! Would anybody be able to tell me if there is a procedure for reprogramming the front electric windows for the auto up/ down function? I've tried to search for it with no luck (prob looking in wrong place!) We just had a key reprogrammed at Frauds and now they don't go up/ down automatically! The switches are the 2 position type (ie push down for manual, push futher for auto). All was working fine before. Many thanks in advance. While i'm on the subject and a bit off topic, the glow plug light has started flashing as well, I,ve seen a lot to do with the brake pedal switch and lights- the lights are fine (yet to play with switch) Strangely it only occured after i had reinflated the tyres (was 26PSI, now 40 as fully loaded at time) Would this have any effect on the glow plug light?
  3. Not that i'm aware- i've only had the car a week! was fine before though still, maybe just one of those things, just over 3 years old no warranty, and it breaks!

  5. deja vu! i've got the nice rac man with my car at the mo as guess wot? my gal wont start! He thinks its the key as the other non remote key works and the door led flashes quickly when you try to start with the remote key! I'll post back in a min as hes doing some 'tests' at the mo to check the key!

  7. Be careful that its not popped/ sheared an engine mount, my sharan had 3 of these, sounds exactly as you describe. Alythough it obviously isn't apparent when you are stationary. Try holding the engine on the top n rocking it forwards and back, also look under the car at the panels around the drive shafts if there has been any rubbing, you'll see it.
  8. This all seems confusing!!! I've just bought a 53 plate TDI Zetec with the TDI all in red, the garage was advertising it as a 115. The finance company and my insurance company have said its a 130!!!. Least it saved some money though as the 130 is more expensive! By the way the VW 110 has a silver TD with the I in Red!!! :lol:
  9. Yea we had a T reg VW Sharan that had the same prob (twice!!) turned out to be the bolt on the selection lever that goes into the box. 1st time round we had the G/box removed to check for debris in the casing (
