Hi everyone, I hope to be a genuine member of this forum within the hour -depending on whether I buy the galaxy I've been looking at for a week, but NOW is the crunch time. However, it has some electrical problems. Apparently, the climate controls work but the compressor doesn't cool, the cruise control doesn't work, but I'm not fussed about that -however does it indicate another problem? The dash clock works sporadically, and the central locking works -but not remotely. Are any of these an issue? If I just simply don't use the A/C, will the compressor affect the engine in any way? Do all these little problems indicate a bigger one? How much is a compressor? It's a '99 Ghia X. Any help is appreciated...thanks! Chris
