  1. Hi Everyone, Just to give you an update on our misbuild! - we now have a switch on the passengers door that works the correct window- and no rattles from the door. That's the good news!! The bad news is that the reversing sensors still don't detect shopping trolleys, 1 metre square concrete uprights in multistorey car parks or people walking very close behind the car. Tomorrow we are back to the dealers - we are thinking of getting the dealer principle to stand behind the car and get a technician to reverse blindfolded and only stop when the sensors operate -- do you think they will?? Next installment soon. Michael.
  2. Hi All, Just a quick post to let you know there will be a small!! break for 4 weeks while the wiring loom is sent from Germany. At least it won't be down to the Dodge it and Bodge it (PDI) department to fit it!!!! The service department will also have to find where the rattle from the passengers door (this has occured after the D & B dept had the door trim off) is coming from. It's enough to send you away on a holiday. ;) all the best Michael.
  3. Many thanks for your thoughts, Titanic was said deliberately - I seem to be having a titanic battle trying to persuade the dealer that all new titanics aren't built like this! I think persuading them to give me a different one is a pipe dream - perhaps in the West Midlands they believe in customer service - after being in yesterday and nothing being done except the door now rattles and the carpet is covered in mud, customer service is not something this dealer believes in !!!! I haven't even mentioned to you about the rear sensors that don't sense anything unless you ar 6 inches from the bumper - that is normal, so I am told!! keep you all up to date with the next developments. Michael.
  4. Hi, I have just taken delivery of a new Cmax Titanic and have found it is a "misbuild". On the front passengers door there is no switch to operate the electric windows - just a blanking piece. The window does operate from the drivers side, so at least the motor is there! Yesterday it went in to the Ford dealership in Essex (a clue to the name there) to fit a new switch - they have come back to say it needs a new wiring loom as there are no wires to the switch position. I cannot believe that there are cmax looms that do not have the wires in place - if the "guys" below are lucky enough to have the wiring for their footwells and fog lights, how unlucky are we not to have the wiring. Could someone please comment - I don't feel we can believe this PDI department - we are also worried about what else they could have forgotten to fit!!!! Thanks Michael.
