Hi there Door card removal is covered in the FAQ section number 4 for the MK2 and 48 for MK1 You will have to un clamp the glass from the mechanism and wedge the glass up temporary while motor is changed Thanks. How do I remove and lift the two window clamps at base of glass?

The nsf electric window on my Galaxy got stuck half down today and door started smoking. I presume the electric window motor has burnt out. How do I remove the internal door panel? Also is there a way then of manually winding the window back up before I repalce the burnt out motor? Thanks in anticipation of any assistance. Adam

Can I still drive or should I disconnect component or have towed?

Excuse my techinical ignorance. I have a Ford Galaxy 1.9 tdi automatic (2002). There is a small boxed type component, which is situated roughly underneath the n/s/r door. When the car is running this makes a whirling noise and is dicharging smoke out of the pipe from this box. The pipe is open ended and is directed towards centre of chassis. What is this component and do I have a major problem? Thanks in anticipation
