First things first, thank you seatkid for your guidelines on the pollen filter. This made a complex task much easier, but, as I think you suspected, didn't fix the problem. Aircon blows cooler air - now that the ambient air temperature has fallen to reflect the loss of summer. The label on my 1.9 tdi ghia(no roof vents) shows 70 and 105 - is this for for one and two compressor systems? If so Kwikfit appear to have fitted the correct amount although my confidence is low! Thanks again

I took my Galaxy to Kwikfit today - re-gassed (0.36kg recovered, 0.7kg charged) no fee because no fix! No leaks and a suggestion that my issue may be the pollen filter. Having checked out your comprehensive coverage of this topic - the pollen filter does not appear on the suspect list. The compressor appears to spin with the aircon activated. Is the pollen filter worth a try - using your very detailed and helpful guidelines?
