  1. Hilarious!   Lost me there?? :D  Big Wheel, Thanks for your sensible reply, Guess I'll have to look for a MFD now!
  2. I had an 02 Sharan, when air con stopped working brought it to VW dealer, they said the ac return pipe?? was leaking. I was quoted 320 yo-yo's(Dublin) for the pipe and wait for it, €220 for a re-gas. Needless to say we did without ac for the next few months! I got an 04 Alhambra just last week, I was disappointed to see it only had manual ac. but on the 25.4 deg drive home, it was like sitting in a fridge ;) the kids were complaining that it was too cold. I was plesently suprised.
  3. Hi, Can anyone tell me what the small fin aerial is for on the top of my 04 Alhambra? Is it Radio or possibly sat nav or is it just for show? I've had a 02 Sharan which didn't have an external aerial for the radio, and this car it pretty much identical in every other way. Thanks in advance, Ted.
  4. Hi Rav (i aint going to call you sexy). I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I worked for a company that had a escort van a few years back, the driver ran it through a large flood, stopped in the middle, and water got in the engine. The local dealer tried everything, but long story short, it ran like a dog until they replaced the engine. :o sorry. Hopefully I can be proved wrong on this occasion. Regards.
  5. Thanks Bleeno, Yes the 1.8 Turbo (20v) is a nice engine. 150 hp :( . It has a lot more poke than the 2l VW. The dealer tells me it is the Audi unit. I'm very pleased  .
  6. Hi all, I owned a Sharan (02 model) for a couple of years, It never gave any real trouble. It was the 2.0 petrol model with leather, sunroof, DVD etc. The wheels however were the real skinny hubcap kind that you only see on Sharan's, so I Bought a nice set of 16" alloys for it, also it was quite thirsty. I got rid of it in Feb this yeay for a Pug 407 2.0 HDI. Nice car, but the kids(3 girls) couldn't get used to sitting on top of each other in the back, and in the five months that i had it it was off the road for six weeks, for two fairly serious problems. . Because of this I have just bought a nice 04 Alhambra 1.8T (Petrol again), I am really happy with this, 37K miles, fssh, 17" seat alloys, DVD with large flip down, and Automatic. I have already fitted a CK7W car kit (piece of cake). I look forward to doing other mods in the future (with some help from you guys :( ). First on list is parking sensors, shouldn't be a problem as I did them on the Sharan. I might post some pics (when I'm allowed). Talk to you all soon. Regards.
