Hi, I've searched the forum but can't find this particular problem so grateful for ideas if you've experienced the same problem. Apologie if it is here somewhere already but I couldn't find it!! I bought a 1999 Alhambra 20VT last year and the guy told me there was a problem with the rear offside electric window not working. Someone had obviously tried sorting the problem 'cos they butchered the door card and dropped the connector from the window regulator! Anway, finally got round to looking at the problem recently and found the usual severed cables in the door cable rubber. Fixed that and all is now working except that the window only opens if you press UP on either window switch (door or centre console), and vice versa to close the window. I've tried resetting the convenience feature via the usual procedure but that hasn't fixed it either. Turning the drivers lock to 'lock' position opens this window but closes all the others, and vice versa when you turn the lock to the open position! Any ideas? I'm going to checkout the bypass switch wiring in the centre console at the weekend in case someone has been fiddling in there and swapped some wires around. Connections are correct in the door switch, according to the VAG wiring diagram. Many thanks, Vaughn. ---------------------------------------------------------- 1999 Silver Alhambra 20VT - just clocked up 150k miles!
