That is exactly where my pipe goes, 100%.

Just looked on the TIS cd and There do not appear to be any breather pipes in that area, so yes you need to replace or extend, I used about 6 inches of pipe to replace it with, It should attach to a plastic tube at the other end.

The pipe in your picture looks exactly the same as the pipe I changed on mine, and yes the other connector is redundant.

The pipe goes on the end of the top connection, at a right angle to the existing small bore pipe and the bottom connection is left as is, that is how it's always been on my galaxy anyway, and cruise control works perfectly, Infact I had to change the pipe over Christmas as it had perished to far this time.

A search on this forum for brakes will come up with a fair bit about disc warpage. Mine were warped when I got mine and I have replaced them, so far they are ok after about 3000-4000 miles.

I had this with mine last winter and this winter, When I plug in VAG COM the fault code for the C.C. is intermittent rear blower. I seem to remember there was no real cure for this problem. But that may not be what is wrong with yours of course.

I am supposed to be getting rung back by the local scrappy, Bot no reply yet. I did consider cable ties if the part was expensive, looks like that maybe what will happen but it will need modifying first. Cheers for the replies.

My 2.8 generally does about 24 mpg, maybe 27mpg on a run. I know it's not a 2.3 but I seem to remember reading somewhere once that there is not a great deal of difference in mpg between the 2.

I also had this problem with my key, new batteries the light would light up. What i did in the end was open it up and check thesolder joints, lo and behold one of the surface mount resistors had come loose, so all i done was re-solder it and have had no problems since.

I checked mine with VAG COM and an intermittent rear blower was displayed. Apparently there is no real fix for this, one thing I did notice is that during the summer the flashing did not happen once. One other thing I have noticed is that if I leave the temp on 18c and auto I get no flashing at all even though its cold at the moment. Its a strange problem but I do not worry about it myself as I know my system is OK. I am not saying this is what is wrong with your Galaxy but seems strange that you get the same problem as me in cold weather.

I have a Galaxy with dark blue as well.

When mine was done only the high side was used to empty and refill.

That would be great Andy, I will need some tyres soon and will probably get reinforced anyway but it would be nice to know IF i actually need to get ripped off first.

Just to add to this thread, I have single climate control with the rear blower. I get a flashing display sometimes and VAG COM states that this is an intermittent rear blower, I think SEATKID said he had the same problem and it could not be sorted. Might be worth getting the codes read and see what they say.

I get this with mine sometimes, I plugged VAG COM in and it stated that there was an intermittent rear blower, I was relieved it was nothing in the air con system. This maybe the same problem with yours, apparently its more bother to fix than its worth but i might have a look one day.

Hi Everybody, this is my first post and would like to say what a great forum this is. Right, I have got VAG Com and checked out my galaxy, the main reason for this was because my CC display was flashing, Thankfully (hopefully) it only comes up with one fault which is intermittent rear blower, as the display only flashes sometimes this is obviously the case. Has anyone had this before, or does anyone have any pointers to what it could be, I didn't even know I had a rear blower (ooh err) until i ran VAG Com. Cheers All Dave.
