:P I have a 97 TDI with infra red remote locking, the range of this is terrible. Is it possible to improve the existing equipment or can it be easily / cheaply changed to the newer 'radio frequency' type

I have a 97 TDI and i have a problem with the recirculation switch. If you leave it in the recirc mode for anything more than a few minutes, the switch will not release until you switch of the ignition (awkward when driving !) Nothing obviously wrong with the switch and it works fine for approx. the first 5 minutes, any suggestions please :(

Just had my air con refilled and have a question. I know the air con has to be run on a regular basis to maintain it, but the garage said run it every day. This seems to be a bit excesive and impractical. Are there and 'experts' out there that can inform me if every day is correct or if not, what is a reasonable minimum? :(

;) My remote will also only work when right up to the vehicle. Is there a correct method for fault finding either on the sender or reciever ?
