Try this:

NOTE: A maximum of eight remote transmitters can be programmed and programming must be carried out at the same time for all the remote transmitters.

1. Fasten the safety belts and close all doors to make sure that conflicting chimes do not sound during programming.

2. The ignition switch must be turned to position II exactly four times during remote transmitter programming. Failure to follow this instruction may result in incorrect remote transmitter programming.

3. Turn the ignition switch from position I to position II four times exactly within six seconds.

4. Turn the ignition switch to position I. An audible chime will be heard to indicate that learning mode is enabled.

5. Press and hold one of the buttons on the remote transmitter until a chime sounds. This indicates a new remote transmitter code has been successfully received. Repeat this step, within 10 seconds, for any other transmitters you have.

6. Wait 10 seconds or turn the ignition switch to position II to exit learning mode.

7. Test all the programmed remote transmitters, by activating and deactivating the locking/unlocking functions.

I would like to confirm it works :D

This is for a new shape 2007 onwards Ford Galaxy Ghia..... Well done, I have been trying to find someone with the info for months...

Although it was not exactly right in the order, It did work after 2 tries.

How I did it:-

Put one key in the ignition and turn the key from 0 to II four times and it bleeped, then I to II fours times quickly then press each keyfob and they each made the car bleep in this proccess.

First time I did it wrong and all the keyfobs stopped working. But dont panic this isnt scientist stuff, Tried it again and all the three buttons on each key worked..Lock, Unlock, Unlock Backdoor.

Remember after the 0 to II comes the bleep, then you do I to II four times quickly, then press any button on each Fob including the one that stays in the ignition and you will hear the bleep again for each keyfob. Remeber after you finish pressing all the KeyFob remotes wait about 10 seconds or turn to II, this you must do or the settings are not saved.

I realised when I heard the beep thats when you do the I to II fours times then press any button on the Fob..

Thank you again "Insider" for the info, possibly your order was for a different Ford but gave the right idea...Well Done

Sorry folks my handle shows my old car, need to figure out how to change it

I have 1 remote key and 1 non remote key supplied and working from Ford that came with the vehicle.

I have purchased and had cut a third standard non remote key and wanted to code it to the immobiliser.

The car is a 1.8 tdci Mk III Galaxy 56 plate new shape.

Apologies for the confusion!

My key fob has stoped working ( remote opening and locling the doors ) but still starts the car.

I have replaced the battery and tryed the procces described above to reprogram the key but to no efect.

I only have 1 remote key and 1 standard, is this why its not working or am I doing it wrong .

I have tryed the remote key and the standard but I dont get a beep after turning the ignition to II four times.

HELP.

Hi ya,

Sorry, I'm still a little unclear if I have to have two programmed keys for a Galaxy MK3 (2010) as post 9 and 10 seem ambiguous. I have one original key and was planning to buy a blank (with electrics). Would the instructions above work with just one working key (can't see anything in the instructions that suggests otherwise?)

Thanks!

Nick

Hi,

Just registered so I could say thanks a lot for this advice.

Worked perfectly for me and saved me about £60.
