NikpV Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Key Fob (InfraRed) intermittently stops working,Any reason why? could be dry joint on one of the led connections - happens with monotonous regularity with our tv/video/dvd remotes Quote
daz131 Posted October 24, 2006 Author Report Posted October 24, 2006 is this the actual Key itself thanks Quote
NikpV Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 is this the actual Key itself thanks yes will have some (1 or 2) IrD leds in which given the mechanical wear a key gets can loosen the soldered joint - as a check you are sure that is the Ird system (2 domes inthe car front and back) Quote
onslow Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 ABS light intermittently on/off no change in brakes doesnt matter whether it is raining/sunny,why? My mate had this on his car it turned out to be a dodgy connection in ther fuse box where the fuse plugged in? Quote
wood73 Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 bottom left corner of windscreen fogs up possibly heat from engine usually a result of a damp pollen filter. Quote

ABS light intermittently on/off no change in brakes doesnt matter whether it is raining/sunny,why?Probably dirty/faulty ABS sensor or connector thereto. There are 4 of them.... Try here sorry you don't want links...do you?Interior light fuse keeps blowing every few weeks, it has a 4A mini blade is this right?No...F53 is a 10A...oh that might explain why....Key Fob (InfraRed) intermittently stops working,Any reason why?flat (key fob) batteriesAlarm doesnt seem to work no audio, visual or shock sensor but doors lock and lights flashwhen using keythe alarm doesn't have an audio, visual or shock sensor maybe thats why.. ;) bottom left corner of windscreen fogs up possibly heat from engine bay. check for damp passenger footwell, change pollen filter, turn on airconditioning....if it works that is. ;) MPG has dropped from 18-15.7mpg (round town) 27-24/25 on 2 hr motorway trip why?driving in general good but it dosnt like pulling away in drive it now goes to 2-3000 revs before pulling awayMaybe it needs servicing.....or it could be your MAF sensor oops!is there anyone in the croydon area who has vag com and willing to help.don't know...pass...where is croydon? it is somewhere near Preston? can anyone help its a lovely motor and i really dont want to get rid but this is starting to get silly nowPossibly Please send message instead of thread reply this way i can list the faults and fixes and repost What a strange request.... :19: Quote

You may need to reprogram the remote after - click on the faq link in my signature and look for 'reprogramming the sharan remote' - same as gal. we assume that the antenna for the remote is in the main control box (13) - pictured here on a lhd sharan (haven't got a gal diagram i can only find one internal sensor rear window at top(drivers side) umm only thing I know of here is the aerial on the window Quote
