Guest rusper Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Well with mine it slowly gets so that it turns over for longer and longer before firing, I take it to my local diesel center and they reset the injection timing (they always find it retarded) it is then fine for about 4 months and the it does it again. I am told the route cause is the timing pully on the crankshaft moving due to a damaged drive key slot in the crankshaft . Will rquire a new crank to solve the problem. My local ford dealer fitted two new diesel pumps before giving up and sending it to the diesel center.I hope yours is less expensive to fix.Brian :blink: Quote
