Ford Galaxy 2004 2.3L Headrest Dvd Multimedia System

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have recently brought a Ford galaxy 2004 with a dealer fitted multimedia system which doesn't work, it also has a after market radio installed (but also not working).

The problem I have got is that the multimedia system doesn't work working doesn't power on...

I have tested the 12V power socket and it is working fine. I have also looked at all the fuse in the fuse board underneath the drivers steering wheel and they are all good and not blown. when I  have taken out the radio I saw a little yellow connector and was winding if that could do with it as I have heard that there are 3 wires that make it work:

+12v constant power

+12v from radio

- Ground

Can anyone tell me if this is the connector please or/and has anyone got a wiring diagram of the whole system as I cannot find one anywhere (online and on Auto data).

I have attached some photos as well

many thanks in advance,

Dylan

I'm pretty sure you need the stock Ford radio to make this work, Ford 6006 I think.

There's an old thread here that you might find some information from

http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?/topic/22126-dvd-multimedia-problems

It might also be worth doing a forum search for "DVD" or "multimedia". I'm not sure if there is anyone still one here with the factory fitted DVD, it's been a while since I saw it discussed. You never know though.
