I have a '97 1.3 Ka2. Has recently developed a nasty rattling sound towards the front of the engine. Someone has said it's the timing chain. How serious is this job and is it likely to be expensive?

How long does the engine have to idle before the cooling fan cuts in? Mine doesn't appear to be working.

I had a similar problem last year. Took it to a garage, they did a diagnostic check and found a faulty speed sensor was to blame. Had it replaced. Been fine since.
