  1. Hey fellow members, I've got a little issue with the controls on my steering wheel. The buttons on the right aren't responding, while the left side works just fine. I've already taken out the switches and given them a clean (even though they seemed alright). Considering what I've done, do you think the problem could be with the clock spring (SQUIB)? Has anyone faced a similar situation? Appreciate any thoughts on this!
  2. Hi all Ive a 2008 1.8 TDCI with 200k miles on the clock Im looking for advice on three things please 1. I blanked the EGR a few years ago and all good there but today I find this lead just left there. Can someone tell me where it goes to please? (maybe have a look at any other Mk2 and see if you have one?) 2. Also, on a couple of occasions this year, she didnt fire up after parking after long journey (ie engine still hot). I've changed the fuel/air filter (they are very sensitive to dirty fuel filters I learned years ago the hard way!). Anyone any thoughts? 3. She feels lumpy on tick over until she is up to abut 1500 RPM when all is perfectly smooth. This has been there for a long time. I dont think its injectors as I believe the injectors in this model either work or dont. I'm wondering if it could be the alternator clutch pulley on it......anyone else change that for this problem or any other ideas? Thanks a lot for advice D
