  1. I think you could be right. Although I'm guessing that is worst case scenario as would I be right in thinking it would be quite a job to find and fix?
  2. Thanks. The strange thing is that it has been exceptionally dry here for weeks now. In fact I can't remember the last time it rained, and I'm embarrassed to say it hasn't been washed for a couple of weeks either. It was working today, so its all very strange.
  3. Thank you for the reply. Is there anyway to resolve the issue? I can't see any paint issue so guessing is the moisture.
  4. Our 08 plate Galaxy has served us well so far but the parking sensor has suddenly developed an intermittent fault. Sometimes when you start the engine it makes a loud beep and then the sensors don't work, others times it works fine. Has anyone got any ideas on how best to resolve this please? Thanks
  5. If you press and hold the unlock button for 3 secs the window go down, and if you lock and press for 3 secs the windows will go up. So would be easy to set off if like me you have everything including the kitchen sink in your pocket! Thanks for that, probably explains it. lol
  6. Thanks for digging this information out. I wonder how exactly it works because I can't find out how the key actually does this. Oh well, so far it hasn't happened since, good job considering we are in a monsoon season. lol
  7. I'm beginning to think my 08 plate Galaxy is haunted, or is on its way out!! After the fuel cap locked itself the other day and now works just fine. I went out to the car this morning to find it still locked BUT all four windows had opened fully!??! I unlocked the car and put the keys in the ignition and all the windows went back up fine and SO FAR it hasn't happened again, but clearly I am extremely concerned it will happen again. Has anyone heard of this issue before?
  8. Thanks. I will never go back to run flats, a HUGE HUGE waste of money! I much prefer the reinforced choice and ride.
  9. Just wondering if it matters what tyres you run your car on in terms of insurance? I appreciate the load/speed ratings must be as manufacture but what about runflats?
  10. Why can't you just lay them all flat? Removing them completely will be a real task.
  11. Yes true, they are bang at that about ten miles down the road from me in Hull!! Used the car today and the central locking is now working fine in the fuel cap as well, so not sure what happened!?! Oh well, I have no money at the moment so pleased I didn't have to shell out to get it repaired.
  12. Thanks guys. Looked for a cable, but no sign at all, so in the end I resorted to good old fashioned muscle and forced it open. No damage thankfully and the central locking mechanism did start working again for a few minutes before this time freezing up on the open lock (for the fuel cap). So at least I can no refuel, I just have to hope no diesel hunters come calling until I can get it repaired.
  13. I have a 2008 Galaxy and have never had an issue getting into the fuel before. Turned up to add some fuel this afternoon but I was (still am) unable to get the fuel cover to open. I have tried locking and unlocking the car but this makes no difference. Is there a manual opening mechanism? How on earth can I get into it please? Just to clarify, its not the circular fuel cap that you unscrew, but the actual cover plate.
  14. not sure why its a silly question. I was just asking for some advice. Going for to Yokohama c drive 2's XL. 98W
