  1. Hi Everyone, I've found a 2003 (03) 2.0 TDCi 130 Ghia for sale for
  2. It's the off side. I've had numerous problems with wires breaking. Supply wire is black/green, I know as mine is broken at the moment
  3. Thanks Guys, So my broken black-green is the supply. What I can't understand is where the other broken end of the wire is?? Maybe I'll just take it to a garage.
  4. Hi Galaxy experts, My rear wiper on my Mk1 2000 V reg TDi stopped working. I suspected a broken wire in the rubber trunking between the rear door (top right) and the body. There was a broken green and black wire coming from the door that ended in black electrical tape and inside there was evidence of a soldering job. Strangely there was no evidence of the other end of this wire leading back into the body?! Can anyone confirm that this is the wire from the wiper motor in the rear door? Thanks.
  5. Thanks bj2004, Great, that's something even I can test out. :o
  6. Do the mk III Galaxies have electrical/wiring problems too?
  7. Hi bj2004, Do you mean find the door that doesn't switch the lights on and that one might have the faulty door switch or broken cable. We've had wire problems on every door since we've had this car, looks like whoever wired it up was incompetent. :o Max
  8. Hi Biscuit and thanks for your reply. So is that a simple fix, pull out the old one and plug in a new one? Or is there a bit more to it? I know nothing about electrics! Max
  9. Hello, I have a 2000 V reg 110bhp TDi Galaxy. All of the interior lights from the front one back to the boot have started to stay on once the doors have been opened and the engine started. They go out after about 10 min. All the other electrics are working normally. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I'd like to go to the Fraud dealer with some knowledge of this, so I don't appear like one more ignorant punter that can be exploited. Thanks for any help. Max
  10. mines a mk I TDi and it is the fan (I watched it spinning and stop). Thanks naim32 for the advice if I can't do this myself before it goes into the local Ford dealer (already booked in) at least I can suggest they check this first rather than go in like a sheep to the slaughter. Thanks for again for the advice.
  11. Hi, My Gal has developed another problem(?) Even on a short run of 1-2 miles on a cold morning the radiator fan has started to keep running when the ignition is switched off, we can hear it running as we leave the car. It never used to do this. Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it? Thanks. Max
  12. Well I got the rear wiper arm off eventually thanks to your help! Now we have another problem, it seems to be one after another. The heater blower (front) doesn't work on the "1" or "2" positions, but works on "3" and "4". This is really irritating, as speed setting 3 is quite loud and if I turn the fan off the car gets hot and stuffy in seconds. The air con works as does the air re-circulation. Any ideas what is the fault? Thanks Max
  13. Thanks for your replies and the health and safety advice! I might try tonight, rain permitting of course.
  14. Hi Does anyone know how to remove the arm (I don't mean the blade) of the rear wiper? I need to replace the plastic cover that conceals the gap where the wiper spindle comes through from the motor on the inside. I flipped back the black cover to reveal a nut and washer which I removed, but the arm does not lift off. Does it screw onto the spindle? I tried turning the arm anti-clockwise to unscrew it, but it won't budge and I don't want to use excessive force in case it will damage the arm or spindle. Any help much appreciated. Thanks Max.
